My first memory of Marianne was at Brookside Elementary School when we were picking up our children. She seemed like such a strong, full of adventure, nothing holding her back, young mom. I admired her so as she told me about her hiking and back packing adventures with her young boys. I was in awe how she had no fear of taking them into the great outdoors and mountain trails and took every mental note I could to try these adventures with my 3 small children. She was an inspiration and she gave me the courage I needed to get out there and go for it...the kids would be just fine...and they were!

Many years later I saw that strength and determination on the tennis court. It definitely helped bring, along with our other talented players, our first Brookside “B” Team’s First Place Championship for the Central Valley in California. Her beautiful smile and sweet laugh were extra special to witness during that special time.

Pat and I send our deepest condolences to you Albert and your boys and extended family. May God give you comfort and peace during this difficult time and may the memories of all of these posts and pictures on this site, bring you much joy and love.
